Ted Gibson

Mr. Gibson is the director of choirs at Gilbert Classical Academy. He is an Arizona native who received his Bachelor of Arts in Choral Music Education degree from the Katherine K. Herberger College of Fine Arts at Arizona State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. After teaching for six years in Mesa, Mr. Gibson moved to Flagstaff and earned a Master of Music in Choral Conducting degree from Northern Arizona University, where he directed the NAU Men’s Chorale and graduated with distinction.

Mr. Gibson is in constant demand as a clinician, vocal coach, and guest conductor particularly with youth choirs. He has directed adult and youth choirs throughout the western US and under his direction choirs have consistently received superior ratings at local and regional, and national festivals.

 

Directing and singing in choirs has been a passionate part of Mr. Gibson's life since he was in grade school. He has become an advocate for music education, and hopes that he can bring the joy of choral music to a wider audience. Mr. Gibson enjoys teaching music of all genres and styles, and feels that every student’s life can be enriched by the experience of making music.
